Web Monkey - This HTML cheat sheet gives you nearly everything that you need to know to maintain your website by manipulating HTML code. Just remember the basics that pretty much everything has an opening and a closing tag, and place your text in between the two of them, and you're good to go!

Webs - Web hosting is a tricky business, and most companies charge you a lot of money for providing you with significantly limited resources. Freewebs will provide you with a hosting environment (the actual place that your computer pulls the website information from) and offers you award winning design tools that have been created for both basic and advanced users. www.aposection85.org is actually hosted on Freewebs servers! You can either design your website within their system, or use the previously mentioned links to build a website and then place it on your Freewebs account.

Audacity

Open Office - The leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. Consider it a competitor to Microsoft Office, without the charge!

OpenDisc
OpenDisc - A collection of open-source software arranged in an image file that you can download and then burn to CD/DVD. The software can accomplish many different tasks, everything from accounting to graphic design. Some of the programs listed previously on this page are included on this disc.

Your University's IT Department
Remember that your university has a technology department, and some of them offer services to students at no cost. This could be anything from simple instruction and guidance to web design and hosting. Talk to them to find out what they offer!
